Our journeys are never straight lines. They are a series of unexpected turns, surprising discoveries, setbacks met with resolve, and opportunities to be seized.
This issue, we’re spotlighting those journeys – of our players and our community partners – who remind us how the winding journey is the trail we blaze and the dreams we’re leading.
You’ll discover how Emily’s tattoos are an intentional reminder of the people, places and things that anchor her belief in herself. That unwavering belief has anchored her through the highs and lows of a life in professional basketball and beyond.
In her first sit-down with Inner Circle, Georgia talks about how her own story had been told by others, yet how she defied the ‘undersized’ critics and told her own story on the court of vision, poise and command. Now she’s turning the lens, and exploring her passion for game analysis and broadcasting, laying the groundwork for where her journey may take her in the future.
And you’ll also hear from Stef Dolson whose passion for LEGO® unlocked her creativity, settles her mind amid a hectic life, and allows her to explore her interests in travel and pop culture. She shares her story from the National Building Museum and their Brick City exhibit, celebrating iconic architecture from cities around the world and showcasing some of the destinations Stef hopes are part of her journey.
Lastly, the Mystics journey is also off the court and in our community, partnering with those who dare to dream differently and ensure we remain the District of Change. We wanted to take a moment to spotlight the journeys of the leaders and changemakers of these community partners and spotlight their extraordinary work. And perhaps their story will be part of your journey in the future as you join us in support of their efforts.
Our journey together this season – this year – has been both challenging and rewarding. But we couldn’t think of a better group to be on this path with than our Mystics family. Thank you for your unwavering support.
Here’s to the journey ahead!
